Studio Debris is an ongoing series refashioning discarded materials from my studio. Entirely constructed of leftovers—e.g. collage clippings, palette scrapings, congealed paste and paint—the series is limited to materials labeled as junk or useless. The works become art both in product and process. I begin by surveying the materials at hand. What were they originally and what are they now?
